1. Go to the Finder’s Go menu and hold the Option key to reveal the Library. In here, locate and remove the folder called “com.apple.QuickTimePlayerX” from the Containers folder. 

2. Go to the Preferences folder in the library and remove the following two files:

 

com.apple.QuickTimePlayerX.LSSharedFileList.plist

com.apple.QuickTimePlayerX.plist

 

3. Last, go to the Saved Applicaition State folder in the library and remove the folder called “com.apple.QuickTimePlayerX.savedState.”

 

Try these sequentially and launch QuickTime Player after each to see if there is a difference in behavior.
